  Uriel Oputa took to Instagram to warn people to stop judging her based on what she wears.   She said she is not her clothes and sometimes, those who cover up are "the most evil".   "Judge by deeds, not by what the eye feeds," she added.   She went on to say that those who judge others based on what they wear are not exposed.  

  The Federal government has given a condition to lift its indefinite suspension of Twitter operations in Nigeria.   The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, disclosed this during a meeting with foreign envoys in Abuja today June 7. According to Onyeama, the micro-blogging site will be restored in Nigeria only if the platform can be used “responsibly”.   Onyeama said although there is no definite timeline for when it will be restored, the micro-blogging site was suspended so as to stop it from being used as a platform for destabilisation and facilitation of criminality   “The condition would be responsible use of the social media and that really has to be it. We are not saying that Twitter is threatening the country or any such thing.   Hajia Asia El-Rufai, wife of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has said that there should be no payment of ransom should she be kidnapped.   Asia who addressed participants of a peace and security training organized for Kaduna women by Equal Access International (EAI) on Wednesday June 9, stated that Nigerians must sacrifice to end banditry and kidnapping.    She also said that she is ready to die in the hands of kidnappers if it will bring peace to the country.   The Kaduna state Governor's wife said;    "We must sacrifice to bring this to an end.   Crossdresser, Michelle Page, has finally disclosed to actor, Mofe Duncan, that his ex wife owes him.    Recall that Mofe Duncan recently bought a new car and Michelle Page took to Instagram to accuse him of "buying car and owing".   Michelle Page later sent Mofe Duncan a DM to inform him of the debt. According to screenshots from the DM shared by Mofe, Michelle said the debt is for makeup done 6 years ago for Mofe Duncan's ex-wife, Jessica.   Mofe asked Michelle why he was the one called out over the unpaid debt, instead of his ex-wife who had the makeup done.   He added that he spoke to his ex-wife and she wants the drama behind her so she's agreed to pay.   Towards the end of the chat, Michelle Page confirmed receipt of the payment.   See the chats below.

  Governor Hope Uzodinma has challenged Nigerians to give reasons why the All Progressives Congress (APC) should not win the 2023 general elections in the country.  Addressing newsmen after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday June 8, the Imo state Governor claimed that no one has come in concrete terms to accuse the Buhari-led administration of failure.   The Naira has crashed at the parallel market to N502 per dollar after the Central Bank of Nigeria adopted the Nigeria Autonomous Foreign Exchange ( NAFEX) rate. The CBN devalued the naira from the official rate of N379 to N410, which is close to the Investors’ & Exporters’ (NAFEX) Windows rate, where investors and exporters trade. According to Data from Aboki FX, the impact has caused the naira to fall to N715 per pound, down from around N670 in early May. The Euro has also surged to N610 from the N580 it traded in May. The naira has been devalued four times since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, including the most recent devaluation in 2021. The bank had devalued the naira from N305 per dollar to N360/ dollar and N379 per dollar. Nigeria has been subjected to significant foreign exchange pressure as a result of the drop in crude oil prices in 2020 and the months-long lockdown.   Multiple sources are reporting that tele evangelist and general overseer of the founder of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), TB Joshua passed on late last night, Saturday, June 5, shortly after ending a programme at his church.   His body has reportedly been deposited at the morgue. A Facebook user, claiming to live close to the church, said "everyone is crying" in Ikotun, where SCOAN headquarters is located.   Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode also confirmed that TB Joshua is dead.   Twitter has deleted a tweet by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, for violating its rules.   In the tweets which he made on June 2, Kanu had threatened government officials and said “any army they send to #Biafraland will die there. None will return alive even if it means sacrificing my people”.     The removal of Kanu,'s tweet comes after the Federal government chided the micro-blogging site of deleting President Buhari's tweet making reference to the civil war while leaving tweets of Nnamdi Kanu inciting violence to government institutions. A lady simply identified as Esther has died after lodging with her boyfriend, Emmanuel Isibor, at the T1 Suites in the Festac area of the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.   Punch  reports that the incident happened on May 31. Esther and Emmanuel had visited the hotel to spend the night together. However, she took ill while in the room. Things degenerated fast as she began to release foamy substances from her mouth. Emmanuel reportedly called for help from the management of the hotel who immediately organized for Esther to be taken to the hospital.   The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is reportedly now accepting applications for new passports.    Oyo state command’s comptroller, Safiya Mohammed disclosed this during a send-off for Usman Babangida, the outgoing comptroller on Tuesday June 8.    Mohammed said that the new applications which started at 12 midnight on Tuesday are in line with the directive of the NIS’ Comptroller-General, Muhammad Babandede.   She said;    “The agency had suspended new applications for passports to clear the backlog of passport applications that were received. “One of the priorities of the CG is the processing and prompt delivery of passports to applicants. He told me to see that the backlog is cleared. “Also, the command over the weekend worked overnight, and we were able to produce over 3,000 passports out of the backlog. “This is to give room for new applicants to be attended to.
