President Muhammadu Buhari has advised Nigerian parents to ensure their children are educated . Speaking during a panel session on Thursday 29th of July 2021 at the Global Education Summit in London, he believes this is important as any child or ward who misses the opportunity of being educated has missed a lot. The President noted that the size and population of Nigeria were challenges for any administration but despite this, the government and people realised that education was the starting point for success. “You cannot succeed outside your educational qualification,” he was quoted as saying in a statement by Mr Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. Justice J.D. Peters of the National Industrial Court (NIC), Ibadan, has ordered the immediate reinstatement of Dr. Adenike Ogunshe to her position as senior lecturer in the Department of Microbiology of the University of Ibadan without loss of benefit, perquisites of office, promotion and remuneration.    The claimant (Ogunshe) had, in September 9, 2016, filed a suit against the defendants (the University of Ibadan and The Council, University of Ibadan), asking for a declaration that the roles of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) in the processes leading to the termination of her appointment, constitute gross violations of the principles of natural justice and the rules of fair hearing.   Ibadan council of Chiefs blames Makinde for worsening insecurity   Governor Seyi Makinde Ibadan Traditional Council has blamed Governor Seyi Makinde for worsening insecurity in Oyo State, urging him to change tactics before it is too late. The council gave the advice at its meeting held at the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, at the weekend. The council comprises members of the Olubadan-in-Council, other monarchs in Ibadan land and family heads known as Mogajis. Taking turns to speak on the growing security crisis in the State, the council members accused Makinde of running a one-man administration, which they insisted was hurting security.
